On occasion we end up with a photograph that was accidentally taken in a crooked manner. (Example 1)

A quick trip to Adobe Photoshop can help you out! By learning how to use the “measuring tool” you will quickly become a master at straightening out crooked images.
Step One: Select the tool itself. (Example 2)

Step Two: Identify a straight edge in the photograph. (Example 3) Then place the cursor at one end of the straight line and left click once. Stretch the line that will then appear to the end of the straight edge and left click a second time. This action creates a measuring line that Photoshop uses to calculate how much rotation will be needed to correct the crookedness of the photograph.

Step Three: Select image - Rotate Canvas – Arbitrary. (Example 4) A box with the rotation angle will appear. (Example 5) Click “yes” and the image will be rotated to the correct angle.

Step Four: The image will now be straight; however, the corners will be askew. Simply select the “crop tool” to square off the image. (Example 6)

Viola! Straightened Photograph!
